This is a video of Dorothy Lamour performing "Moon of Manakoora". I believe the song is from the 1937 movie "The Hurricane". I have never seen the movie but I understand that it was not a musical so I'm not sure if this video sequence was from the movie or from something else. If you know more about it let me know.

My Favorite Mai Tai Recipe
This is the best Mai Tai recipe that I have found. It comes from an Aloha Airlines inflight magazine from several years back, and they called it the Easter Island Mai Tai.
Easter Island Mai Tai
1 Shot light rum
1/2 shot triple sec
1/2 shot amaretto
3 oz. orange juice
1 oz. pineapple juice
A splash of sweet and sour
1/2 shot dark rum, and another float (one circle around the glass) of amaretto
A dash of grenadine
Directions: Fill a hurricane glass with ice. Then mix in layers in order of ingredients and garnish with pineapple or cherry. One shot equals one once.

Welcome to the Cosmic Tiki Lounge! This site is dedicated to all things Tiki. Fancy cocktails, exotic islands, hula girls, tiki statues and just a little bit of danger.
The Cosmic Tiki Lounge is the name I've given the bar I've created in my Seattle area home. Actually it's a second home. The one I stay at when I'm working. As an airline pilot I don't actually have to live where I work, so I own a small townhouse in the Seattle area (where I'm based). I actually call Bismarck ND home.
Since my family is usually back home when I am here, I get to decorate the place as I like. I have chosen a futuristic tiki bar theme. Let me know what you think of it, and feel free to offer suggestions.
