Seven Tiki Rum

I had an Oakland layover a couple of weeks ago. We have a new layover hotel and this was the first time I stayed there. Our new hotel is next to a Bevmo, which is kind of like the Walmart of liquor stores. I went in and found this bottle of spiced rum.

It's called Seven Tiki Spiced Rum and is made in Fiji.  I'm not a big fan of spiced rum but I tried this last night and it was pretty good.  The spice wasn't overwhelming.  I made a drink called a Short Island Iced Tea.  Here is the recipe.

In a tall glass of ice add the following ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 oz Spiced Rum
  • 1 1/2 oz Southern Comfort
  • A splash of Sour Mix
  • Fill the rest of the class with Coke
See if you can find a bottle and give it a try.

  1. Sounds pretty tasty. My last encounter with rum was Mount Gay Rum in Barbados. We didn't hit it off too well. I woke up the next morning with corn rows in my hair, remember the Bo Derek hair? Not a good look on me. That was in 1985, maybe I'm ready to give rum another go.

  2. Madam,
Luckily for me I don't have enough hair to make anything close to a corn row.

  3. Mmmm.. sounds awesome! And I'm with you.. spiced rum usually isn't my thing. Give me a light or dark Bacardi any day! (Maybe Sailor Jerry in a pinch) LOL!

  4. just tried Seven Tiki... tasty!
