Seattle Area Trader Vic's

The Seattle area Trader Vic's closed almost exactly one year ago. It was in the Westin Hotel in Bellevue. Seattle's original Trader Vic's was in the Seattle Westin and closed in 1991. My wife and I ate the new one 3 times during its 2 1/2 year run. The last time we went the place was nearly empty, so it wasn't really a big surprise when they closed their doors. The prices seemed a little steep, but the food and drinks were both good. My wife and I particularly enjoyed the Imperial Beef, a kind of stir fried marinaded beef dish.

This is the only Trader Vic's I've been to but I'm going to have to find another one as I occasionally get cravings for Imperial Beef.

  1. So sad. That place looked awesome. I saw a Trader Vics in Vegas last time I was there in May, but sadly couldn't get a reservation. I'll definitely dine and imbibe there when my bride and I go to Vegas in the spring. I'll make sure to take lots of pics.
