Hawaii Calls was a radio show that ran from 1935 to 1975. It was hosted by Webley Edwards from the Moana Surfrider Hotel on Waikiki Beach. Hawaii Calls featured Hawaiian music performed live from the courtyard at the center of the hotel and under its famous Banyan tree. At its height it broadcast to over 750 stations around the world. In this video Martin Denny performs Quiet Village.
